Age-resistant bonding of PA12 (polyamide)

SAT: 1 week, 40°C, 100% humidity
2K-PU: Two-component polyurethane
2K-EP: Two-component epoxy resin

Bonding PA12 using polyurethane and epoxy adhesives. This graph shows a definite increase in tensile shear strength of the plastics treated with plasma. Even after a one-week saturated atmosphere test, the bond still exhibits high strength values.

Reliable bonds in filter manufacturing

Bonding of filter end caps presents a special challenge in the filter industry. Very good adhesion is required here, even under extreme operating conditions, such as continuous contact with oil at temperatures around 150°C.
